Question with Cougar!

Hi, I own a 1969 Cougar. I need to take out the tranny on it so I can rebuild it. I was wondering you knew anything about have to take the engine out before i can take out the tranny? Or can I just take it out with out touching the engine.

Thanks guys

You could try www.mercurycougar.net or www.cougarnuts.com They have more people that are experienced with Cougars. www.mercurycougar.net is a forum that is completely classic Cougar related. I'm sure there are tons of people that have done that there.

I'm sure you'd have to take out the engine, but I've never worked on an engine before. And no one has answered you yet, so I figured I'd just put this down.
