4 Bolt To 5 Bolt Wheel Whats it going to Take?$?

4 Bolt To 5 Bolt Wheel. Whats it going to Take? and is the wort the Money? I Love the Acura CL Type S Wheels. I think they would look great on my 01 Accord Coupe. The only problem I bought the 4 cyc for the stick and got stuck with the 4 bolt wheels not the 5 bolt that comes on the V6.

Any One know the maker of the wheel or if it comes in a 4 bolt patern

Thanks

It'll be expensive because you'll have to convert the front and rear.

Actually there are converter plates that fit over the lugs to make it into a 5 bolt, I'll have to do some research on that.

Re: 4 Bolt To 5 Bolt Wheel Whats it going to Take?$?

personally, I think you are better off just buying a different set of rims that look like the ones you mention.
There are thousands of different rims out there and I'm sure one of them will look like the ones you like.
It will save you a lot of trouble trying to convert the lug pattern of your car.

If you wish to do it, it's going to take some work.
However, it shouldn't be difficult.
You will probably have to take some parts from a V6 Accord and simply swap them over to your car.
I'm not sure if it's a direct bolt on, but I'm sure it's VERY simular.

What will happen is that you will have to replace the rotor and the "mount" which it is assembled to fit on the car.
It sounds a little easier then done; however, it's not impossible.

My good friend has a Saleen Mustang from the mid 80's
He changed his rotors and they are HUGE.
Anyways, the new rotors are a 5 lug pattern instead of the stock 4. Thus he did a few changes and get the new rotors on and he also go new rims.
It just comes to show that it can be done.

Good luck.
I would check with parts from a V6 Accord and see how expensive they are and if they both on a I4 Accord.

From what I've heard, converting from 4 lug to 5 lug requires some axle swaping, at least that's the case with Integras and Civics, they just swap out to the ITR or CTR axle pieces to get the 5th lug on their car. I dunno how you'd go about doing it on your Accord, but I assume you'd have to swap out for the Accord V6 axles providing they will fit. I hear the conversoin can cost something around like $2000 for the change out. But a cool one it is.

DONT USE ADAPTER PLATES !!! THEY CAN BREAK UNDER HARD DRIVING CONDITIONS IVE HEARD. I WOULDNT RUN THEM ON MY CAR. SAVE ALLOT OF TIME AND HASSLE & PROBS. MAYBY EVEN MONEY AND FIND SOME WHEELS TO FIT. IF YOU CONVERT THINGS AROUND TO MUCH, LATER IT WILL BE HARDER WHEN THINGS NEED TO BE REPLACED LATER DOWN THE ROAD TO GET THE CORRECT PARTS WITH OUT SOME PROB. GOOD LUCK!!!!!

4 to 5 lug swap is not worth it.
