Re: turbo dx or ls motor
I think its only around 35hp.... Not too impressive with a 95 civic motor. And a 5th gen hatch with a ls motor will run pretty god damn quick. My friend has one with a ls motor swap and some other mods and he's running the mid 14's....

Oh man, get the LS. The DX motor is 102 HP and 91 ft/lbs of torque. (flywheel numbers). The B18B1 is 142 HP and 127 ft/lbs of torque. Even stock, you'll notice a huge increase with the LS. Also, remember, the boosted DX is near its limit with a re-build, and the hp numbers still arn't better than the. The LS will give you more now, and much more later. Should you boost the LS later, you can boost it to 12psi on stock internals when tuned right. Thats over 250whp. You'd have to competley re-build a d-series to hit that, and push it to the limit. The LS will have you quicker now, and much more so in the long run. Plus, the turbo still doens't make the dx motor better than the LS. An LS with I/H/E is much much quicker than that dx motor. I have a B18B1 with that in my civic, and it hauls ass compared to the DX motor. And the added torque from the much greater displacement is a big big help. You will definatly notice it.

Well I put up the flywheel HP for the B18B1 (the engine usually called the LS), here are the flywheel numbers for the eariler "LS" motors. 90-91 Integra had a B18A1, 1834cc, 9.2:1 c/r, 130HP@6000rpm, 121 lb/ft of torque@5000rpm. 92-93 Integra had a B18A1, 1834cc, 9.2:1 c/r, 140HP@6300rpm, 121 lb/ft of torque@5200rpm. |

Re: turbo dx or ls motor
You should really just go with the b18c. If you want a new motor might as well save a little more and get something you'll be way more proud of
