I heard that you should use Castrol Super Clean. I have never tried it though.

If you mean to totally strip it to bare plastic get Castrol Super Clean. I'm currently soaking a botched RX-7 and it works like a charm.

Lightbulb Castrol Super Clean

Works great. Wear gloves.

Do a search here on AF for "CSC" or "Castrol Super Clean" and you'll see my step-by-step instructions. I'll dig up a link for you later, but my computer is dying at the moment.

edit: Hahahaha!!! Like our answer?
