99 Sierra speedometer
My tach died. The dealer told me I would have to buy a new gage cluster. I got a cluster out of a 00 Youkon. Now the air bag light stays on all the time. Is there any way to turn this light off? Its not on with my old cluster. So there is nothing wrong with the air bag. Can anyone help?

Don't worry I have a 99 GMC sierra an I have that same problem.. I took it an had it out on the machine an they sayin the air bag light aint on but the light want go off I got the code but can't fine anybody to tell me what it is maybe you can its either boo61 or poo61

you cant really swap speedometers and they work exactly right unless its out of the exact same year and model. Each cluster has a number on the back, 8 digits if im not mistaken. Those models have a recall and can be replaced at no cost for up to 100K miles. After 100K miles, the IPC costs around $300 or so, plus you have to have it programmed at a GM dealer, which costs usually 1 hour labor. The IPCs are bad about the stepper motors going out on them and it was so drastic that they made a recall. Hope this helps!
