1993 Camry - Dash Lights Don't Work

I recently installed a new aftermarket radio into my 1993 Camry, I have installed radios before, so I knew what I was doing, but after I successfully installed the radio my dash lights dont work, all the warning lights, turn signals, etc. work, but the RPM's and MPH's wont light up like they should when the headlights are on. I removed the radio and checked all cables I could find, didnt see anything wrong, also removed the entire dash, and found no problems there. Also checked the fuse, it's fine, replaced it anyway, didnt help. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

In your car one of the wires has +12V when lights are on. Did you connect it by the instalation of the radio? (Even a little shortcut with ground) could cause a little deeper demage - reostat, relay.
Do other inetrior lights work? (Heating, cooling panel).
Try to get you an electric scheme and take it from there on.

I am having the same problem
i installed an aftermarket deck and my dash lights went out. Everything else works fine. All the fuses are fine. Deck works fine. The fan/heat/cooling lights all work. The relays are fine too.

I can't seem to get the dash piece off to see if the light has fused. the dash is very stiff at the top, so i am wooried of applying to much force.

There is an extra orange wire from the aftermarket harness that reads 'illumination/ dash lights". I'm not sure if that needs to be grounded or connected, but the deck has no where for the wire to go.

guys just wanna bump this thread becuase i'm having the same problem.... anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?
