Keeping That Shine In Between Washes?

I don't know if anyone uses these or what their opinion is on them, but I use the pledge wipes on my dash and door panels. I decided one day to wipe down my painted doors sills and the painted part on the inside of my doors. It left it looking very nice and shiny. I also decided well what the heck I'll also try it on my painted door handles and mirrors. I didn't want to go any further just *in case*, so I thought I would ask here first. Can these also be used on the car in between wash and waxes or is this a bad idea? Even though I keep my car in the garage it still gets very dusty and a car cover is just too much of a pain!
