First impressions of our new home

Just wondering what everyone's first impression is of our new home. I have to say I'm very impressed with the setup of AF. Plenty of forums (other than Honda/Acura ) but not many users but I'm sure the word will spread quickly.

The whole enviroment is friendly just like PH and we've been made to feel very welcome :smoker2: plus you just gotta love these new smilies :sun: :smoker: :silly2: :licker: :alien2: :angel:

And its not all that different then PH
And here we don't have to try like 30 times to post a message :argue:

Yesterday I AF was kind of lame on my computer but today everything is fine and it´s even faster than PH! We don´t have to push the "submit reply" button a hundred times anymore to post and we have got a lot more smilies now ( ). Is there a 120sec rule in here, too? I don´t think so but I wasn´t able to try it yet. The only thing I´m really going to miss is the "member rides section"! I always liked to see the rides of the other PH members. But generally I like our new home very much now!
But IMO the new smilies are the best! ( What´s my age again...??:silly2: ) :bonghitte: :cry: :apuke: :apoke:

I like it, fast friendly and still feels like the old site. Remember we're still PureHonda, we just took over the Honda/Acura section on AF.com
And the smilies rock, here's my fav -->

Ps. What colours are you seeing the forums in today? Yesterday and this morning I was seeing it in the old PureHonda format ie. black/red/grey but this afternoon it's in the original AF.com format ie. blue/white format?

Edit : Ah, it's back in the PureHonda format when I came back through http://www.automotiveforums.com/ph/ Must update the cookies every so often :jump:

I remember on PH have that damn 120 sec rule. You'll be happy to know that here, there is no rule. You post till you can't post no more. As for a members section. We don't have one quite setup like the one on PH. Instead we have a critics section where you post a pic of your ride and it gets rated from 1-10. It's a pretty good feature and many people have used it.

I hope you guys really enjoy it here.

I really like this site, just like our good old PH. Hope we can get some more members on here. BTW: can everyone send some emails around telling PH is moved or post on other boards... I've done this so far...

from AF everytime somebody replies to a message they may have added
Even if you didn't start the forum but just joined it
they will send you an e-mail that someone posted a new message

Is there a way to turn that off
I looked in my own profile but did not find any option that could
solve this problem
Everyday I get like 10 mails from AF like that

This can be turned off in your profile (I think it's under the automatic email response...)

ignore this and watch igor@af post. My own mailbox just exploded...
