323, simply because I could get it in GT-R trim.

Nothing beats 210Hp and 190ft-lbs of torque in a 2600lb AWD hatch. But truthfully I'd rather have the protege GT-X. Same car as the 323 GT-R except 4 door.

Actually, he's not talking about race cars. The 323 GT-R is the street version of the 323 GT-R rallye car. VERY hard to find, and VERY fast and fun if you can. The GTX was a 323, but the 323 GT had the same powerplant, only in a sedan. I've never heard of a Protege GT/GTX....got any links to info/pics? I'd like to see some on it. Oh, right....my opinion. I'd take a 323, because A) I can't get a Demio in the U.S.; B) they look better; C) I've always liked 323s. They have the capacity for fairly easy tuning and engine swaps. They're outstanding little cars that need only a little work to become a whole shitload of fun.

CaptynCrunch, you should come check out www.mazda323performance.com, I think you'll like it. It sounds right up your alley.
