Odd battery light problem

seems as though the battery light on the dash of my 2000 Blazer is acting funny. today when i went out to eat and was getting on the interstate the battery light came on for about a second. it did it again when i got back on the interstate coming home. i was out again a little bit ago, and i decided to open it up full throttle and it did it again.

anyone seen this before? battery light coming on for about a second under full throttle?

the battery gauge reads about 14 volts like it aways does at 1000 rpm and above. it doesnt drop off any when the light comes on. everything else seems fine as well.

I have a '96 Blazer that does the same thing, except that my light is now on more or less constantly. It started out just flickering on. I bought this car in February and it was doing that when I test drove it, so I told the dealer I wanted that fixed before I bought. They tested the battery and alternator, which were both fine. They fixed it by tightening the connection at the firewall. It lasted for about six months. I haven't had a chance to try this again yet. Hope this helps.
