Problems After Iginition
I am on this forum for my pops. He has a 2000 I30. He drives a million miles away and for some retrospect on that his car has almost 120k mi. on it. After he starts up his car it either give a high rev (i think it is) or just makes this like loud sound, then it just goes back. Only does it when it's cold. Just wondering any thought you guys might have.

I don't know, but my 2000 i30 with 65k miles has had some funky start ups lately too...especially if it is cold, this is worth looking into..

Here is the address to a web page with recall data on the 2K I30.
http://www.alldata.com/TSB/27/00270506.html The #2 on the list is cold weather starting procedure. That's a good thing, it means the dealer will fix it for free. |

I don't see why not. There is a documented problem with car, and it was recently added to the list. It is an Infiniti and I have the dealership service exceptional. Wouldn't hurt to call ahead, though.
