Going to drive RX-8 tomorroe

OK, I am a Dodge guy first and foremost, I just love my Dakota. Nothing beats the tire burning, big rumble of the v8. The off roading is said to be great. I just cant stand the thought of breaking something so I stay on the path. I bought it new in 2000 and only have 13,956 miles on it. Not one dent, or scratch. The stright line exeleration is very good, but in the twisties, well, there is not much I can do there. I have to reserve that for my bike. My Son will get my work car in 1 year and 9 months, so I went looking for a car I would want to replace it with. I went to the Dodge dealership, and sad to say, I saw NOTHING I liked car wise. The same dealership also sell Ford(yuk, ford is the MORTAL enemy of mine, lol) and Mazda. First look at the RX-8, I fell in love!!!! Been looking at it all day on the web, and the more I see it the more I want it. As soon as the truck is paid off, I will go into debt again!! Untill then ,I will watch the bords and ask a few questions here and there. Just kindda looking for what to expect out of the RX-8, and what things to watch out for. Also, what kind of mods I can do to it to make it better.

Thanks guys,
Ken

Well, I found out that the low tire pressure warning system works. I got in my car at around 430am and it was about 35F outside. About 30 seconds later I hear a beeking sound, and the monitor had picked up the pressure change from the cold weather. The low oil level gauge works too, and that can start turning on before the level even starts to get low. If you get one, its a good idea to keep a spare quart of 5W 20 in the trunk, as this car uses 1 quart every couple thousand miles. No mechanical probs as of yet, I have 3600 on the ODO.

Thanks for the info guys!! I have had my truck 3 years and 3 months now and only have 16763 miles on it. I bought it new in 2000. So it will take me awhile to even get to the first oil change on the RX-8. I still have a little under 2 years before I get it though. But it seems like the years are flyin by anyway!! Lol.

Ill look into that site, and thanks for pointing it out to me!!
