I do not know personnally how to explain it in detail myself cuz I'm still learning but you could go to howstuffworks.com and they should have it. Also usually most turbo manufacturers might have an explaination of how their specific turbo works on their site. If that doesn't work than do what GundamExpo suggested and use a search engine.
