My Lambo Silhouette paint problems

Alright, it must be the palstic they used on this body, and what a bugger it is.
It came in red. The body is from the Gunze Kit as the Testors body I was using came to an unfortunate demise.
Here is the problem. I've painted it with white primer, silver base then black. Well, the silver and black didn't mix well as the silver ate the black. So I though I would try out a bright white and believe it or not, the red is bleeding through the white paint of which there is 4 coats!
Add that up! prime 1, silver 2, black 3, and white 4 totaling 10 coats!!! And the red still bleeds through!
Is it a sign from the modeling gods saying no other color but Italian red?
The details are still crisp and the lines still noticeable, but I wonder if I paint a couple coats of red what will happen, but it appears that may be my only choice.
I'm not stripping it now, I can tell ya that!
Has anyone else had these kind of bleed through issues with a red bodied kit?
Chris

Yeah I've had the same happen on a few of them that I've built too.

I've found a good auto primer solved the bleeding issue.

It sounds like each coat is too thin, which is better than applying too much and lose the details. Or, the last white coats were too thick.
I had never had any problem painting on red plastic. In fact, my Tamiya enzo is painted yellow.
Spray gray primer, and nutralize and hide the body color, then spray white primer to brighten the color to almost pure white. Finally, use pure gloss white. I have good results with Gunze and DupliColor gray and white primers.
