Brake Rotors
I know this might be a stupid questions but i aint too familiar with brake rotors. I wanna know if i want to upgrade my disk rotors to drilled and slotted or maybe just drilled, will they be any bigger or will they be the same size as the old ones??

Are you upgrading for performance or looks? It really depends which rotor's you get, some are OEM spec while others are larger. |

Thats a good point about cross drilled cracking, I have dimpled rotors on the vette. Dont go installing racing brake pads with your new set-up, you'll never get them hot enough to function correctly on the street. Plus they are noisy as hell. Sounds like a big ass semi stopping - minus the air brake noise.

Thatnks for the advice about the drilled rotors. Ok but how can I make my stock rotors bigger without upgrading them with a big brake kit??

Rotor size is relative to the clamping force and surface area of the pad.
Without a larger caliper, and pad surface area a larger rotor will do nothing. Heat is a braking systems enemy. On our cars it is hard to reduce heat. Without running some type of venting to the brakes. And I doubt you would ever be in a situation like. The best think to do is if you road race, or even if you don't get a set of Brembo blanks as SiRacer mentioned, and some sport pads. And make sure you have new brake fluid, or at least have the lines bled. Stainless steel lines help as well with braking modulation, it decreases the line expansion from heat, which gives the car a more stable feel when braking. Sport pads, Non-slotted/drilled rotors will make a world of difference for you. If you race hard enough where you are overheating the brakes, the pads and rotors should be changed every race anyway, especially if you wind up boiling the brake fluid. I don't think you are into that kind of racing anyway.
