best subs/amp combo?

iv been lookin around at different subs n amps n im completely clueless bout which ones to get for the back of my 2001 blazer. i kno i want 2 12" subs n an amp thats puttin bout 300-400 watts rms to each sub. im lookin to spend no more than mayb $500. If nebody can fill me in on wut they think is the best combo for that price range id realli appreciate it. thanx.

that's a LOT of ground ........ A JBL 600.1 should do 600 watts into a 1 or 2 ohm load, and they are pretty cheap. Then look for a good set of subs with the rest of the money.

that wud work but i was thinkin bout gettin a two channel amp so i can hook both subs up to it. iv already got a amp hooked up n i jus want to replace it, i dont want to go thru hookin another one up. Iv been lookin at a lanzar vibe 258...have ne idea on how good lanzars r? if not got ne suggestions on another 2 channel amp?

lanzar is pretty low quality

and you can hook 2 subs, 8 subs, 25 subs, whatever you want to one amp, as long as you watch the resistance (1oh, 2ohm, 4ohm, etc). What PaulD was saying is that you could get that JBL 600.1 which would put out 600watts into 1 channel. If you have both of your subs hooked up to it you would be sending 300 watts to each.

infinity kappa woffers are good. kapp perfection 12.1 SVC would be a good choice for you 149 + ship i beleive

yea iv been lookin at those n i like the way they look, but i havnt heard them yet. iv also been lookin at JL 12W3v2 subs. i listened to them today n damn those things r nice. which do u think is betr, if uv herd the JLs that is.

i would take the W3v2 over the infinity kappa perfect, but thats me. both are nice, but i gotta give the nod to the JL.

After NOPI today, my favorite subwoofer was MA Audio and audiobahn, those include the amps as being favs too

I had a DEI comp X 12" woofer in a .3 c/ft sealed box being ran by a DEI 1100d. Hit over 144db with very crisp sound. I had about $500 in both units.

I like DEI, I haven't heard them very much, but like the little I have heard.
