Anyone built the Aoshima Drift Machine A31 Cefiro?

I have just bought a Drift Machine Cefiro and I am very happy with the kit but some things are confusing me about the instructions. The kit includes some different front bars and other bits and pieces to make it nice and Drifty. I am modifying the body slightly and I am wondering how the included front bar fits on. On the normal front bar there is a spot for a numberplate and on the included (a/m) bar there is not but in the instructions it shows the included (a/m) front bar on the model with the spot for the numberplate there. It looks like the included (a/m) front bar just sits on top of the standard one but when I tried this it didnt look right as it sits too far out. Do I need to cut away part of the standard bumper? Unfortunately there are no instructions that say you need to cut anything. I am very confused and I am sorry about the way I explained it but it is very hard to put into words and I have no pictures. Any advice is appreciated.
