Thumbs up Sometimes the best movies get by under the radar...

I got home from a two and a half week vacation to Peru on Monday. Unfortunately, I caught something on Sunday, my last full day there, so I have been home, sick in bed, since my return to the States. I picked up some groceries and a movie rental, Identity, on the way to getting settled back in here on Monday. This movie is fantastic. I have watched it three times already, as I can sit through movies this compelling time and time again, and, each time I note a couple details and twists I missed on the previous viewing. I am in fact about to sit down to watch it a fourth time. Without hesitation, I give it 10 out of a possible 10, solid. Hard to believe that this film got mixed reviews from critics when it hit theatres this past April. I think it's a no-brainer as one of my all-time 10 favorite films.

If you liked movies like Memento, Frailty, Sixth Sense, this movie will be right up your alley. Check it out

Gotta say that it wasn't nearly in the league of Sixth Sense. That was a great twist in a great story. In Identity, the story was there to set up the twist.

Hmmm.. I dunno, I liked Sixth Sense a lot, but not nearly as much as this. Maybe I should watch SS again to do a closer comparison. Thanks for the input.

I agree about Identity, and add another of my own: The Core. IMHO, as far as disaster/saving the world movies go, this movie was better than Armageddon. The only thing Armageddon had on it was its bigger stars.

While we're on the subject, I'd just like to say that Equilibrium is one of the best sci-fi/action movies I've seen. It was a limited release, only a few hundred theatres I think, but it's one of the coolest movies, check IMDB and Amazon, it gets tons and tons of awsome reviews.

Yeah, I downloaded that a few weeks ago. it was pretty cool... nice remake of Farenheit 451 (basically). Loved the fight scenes.

I'll have to check out Identity though. sounds good.

it was a pretty good movie, but i thought it was kinda easy to figure out... not about the identities but about you know who at the end...

(sorry, i dont want to spoil it for anyone who hasnt seen it)
