Legal ride height?
I was wondering before Ibuy springs how far can you lower your car before it is illegal. I live in CT, but if anyone has an estimate, it wpuld help a lot. I thought that the center of your head lights has to be 22 inches off the ground?? Does anyone know what they are stock?

i think here in virginia beach itz 14" from the top of your liscence plate....i got a ticket b/c my car was 13"

CT: maximum alteration of 2 in. from factory height
i LOVE ours! OR: no portion of the vehicle except tires may be lower than the lowest portion of wheel rim  i have 40 series tires. my exhaust is borderline breaking that law. it barely hovers off the ground. greg (gta) found it hard to believe it doesn't scrape. i let him feel the under side. it has very few dings

Ladynredsi thanks for the info. Did you get it from a website and did it have other laws?...If so could you post the link so I can look for other laws. Also what springs would lower my car a little less than 2 inches and not sag much? I was thinking h&r, but let me know.

whynot get some coilovers, that way you can set the height to whatever you feel.

Yeah I got the issue of SCC and it says in CT you can have up to a 4 inch change from the original height of the car so I should be set no matter what springs I get. If anyone wants to know what their law is let me know and I will look it up in here for you.
