Removing Door Speakers In a 99 Accord?
Well I tried to replace the front speakers in my korean friend's car because they sound blown, but it seems the panels are like attached to the door, but not with clips. Anyone have pics of how to remove them?

removing door speakers
ok first get a Philips screwdriver
carefully open the plastic tab in the door handle area it will break so be carefull. take screw out next look in the actual door handle area when you close the door. there is a black tab in there, that can come out. remove screw next look to the top right or left which ever door you are working on at the time and remove that plug. try not to scratch the leather if at all possible. remove the inner side mirror trim panel by gently pulling on it. now slowly but firmly work your way around the door to pull it off there are about 7 Xmas Tree plugs holing the door on and if they get stuck in the door its cool they will come out with a apir of pliers. Now you will need to take the door handle off by taking the locking arm off and also disconect all connectors. one for the bulb at the bottom of door and the other two for window and locks. now remove the speaker from the pod and replace with new one and reverse order to put door back on. first timer should take about 30 min second door 15 min. |
