Thumbs down Licence Plate brackets now illegal in Texas

http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/news/909...al_plates.html
This is the dumbest thing. Yes I dont think anything should obstruct anyones licence plate, but how is a bracket illegal that still shows the word TEXAS and all the numbers clearly. Its just stupid.

That is pretty damn stupid. Those covers help protect the car from getting scratched up. I’m surprised the car lots aren’t up in arms over this as well, they get a lot of free advertising from the putting those on the cars they sell.

Dumb, dumb and dumb….

"Let's make License plate brackets Illegal." Translates to "We haven't pissed enough people off or done enough bitching lately so let's think of the most ridiculous and idiotic stunt we can and go through with it while we get overpaid."

That's completely and utterly stupid. I mean honestly, what damage or harm does it cause to have a bracket surrounding a plate? Makes me wonder what they be smokin in the Texas legislature.

And think, your tax money is paying senators to make tough decisions like this, whether or not to make a law saying that it's illegal to have a frame on your liscense plate
