Nissan Altima AWD
Hello Everyone. This might sound weird but I'm thinking about converting my '94 Altima into an AWD. I've been trying to find some info on the U13 Bluebird AWD system, but so far have found nothing relevant. Would anyone happen to know where I can get this kind of info? Also, does anyone know whether the '94 Altima manual tranny bell housing will fit onto the AWD tranny from the Bluebird?

It is really hard to do the conversion unfortunately. Just as cheap and effective to just import a 4WD Attessa instead...

Cant you just work it as is
I am having the same problem as you bro, i have a Sr20det with an AWD transmission, however i dont want to go all wheel drive i will just settle for FWD, have you heard of anyone who used the AWD tranny as a FWD leaving the DIFF disconnected if so how does the car perform i've heard that alot of the power is distributed to the rear wheels

Re: Nissan Altima AWD
graf , you can do it but you need pretty much a complete donor car. Everything needs to be swapped, even things like the shifter, exhaust, rear suspension/crossmember etc.
Its possible but not worth the money of just buying one already done. det20, the power is sent to the front wheels and when there is wheelspin, the back wheels hook up. |
