What does 350 TPI mean?

When listing the engine, many cars say something like 5.7L V8 350TPI...

What does that mean?

Thanks.

both 5.7 and 350 refer to the size of the engine

and tpi refers to top port injection

350 is Cubic Inches, 5.7 is Litres.

IE:

305 Cubic Inches is also 5.0 Litres
350 Cubic Inches is also 5.7 Litres
400 Cubic Inches is also 6.6 Litres
455 Cubic Inches is also 7.5 Litres

Or so I think.

Actually is more like "Tuned Port Injection". I wrote a brief description about it on my web site: http://home.earthlink.net/~ozvresto/GTA/bar-tpi.htm

If you want to see pictures of it visit my gallery in my signature.
