'84 Air Suspension Pump Questions
I have an '84 Riv. Air Susp. Pump, does anyone have a wire diagram for it? I'd like to use it on my '95 Caprice Wagon that has Airlift 1000 Airbags (no not lowrider bags, load levelers). I found the two single connecters make it run, but what are the other two that are together for? Is there a rebuild kit for these? The internal filter is just dust.
Thanks Steve

This is kinda late for you, but may help someone.
I had a problem with my '85 convertible air-ride pump system. It is controlled by a switch//sensor mounted to the rear axle cross member. When the sensor arm is high (needs more air) it grounds the pump to make it run. There is also a timing circuit involved. When the arm is low (has too much air in shocks), the release valve is grounded to allow some air out. I have the schems. at home. I will help anyone if needed. My problems were caused by wire breakage. It seems the wire harness in the rear left fender is aluminum wire, not copper stranded and breaks easily, so be careful when checking them. |
