Racing Karma?
Yesterday, my friend just came back from Portland with his 92' MR2 turbo and we decided to test it out versus my other friend's 96' Integra GSR. So we head out to our little race strip way outside of town on a country road and when we get there, the MR2's turbo wasnt fully spooling. We decided to let the car rest and cool down since it was driven kinda hard on the way out. The first run went smoothly with the MR2 taking the GSR by about 2 car lenghts (he said he had a terrible launch). anyways, they line up for the second run, they both get good launches, and then when he slammed the GSR into second, it backfired and died. Matt (the owner of it) was trying not to freak out while we checked over the newly installed intake manifold for a leak or blown fuel injector (he had trouble with one a little while back so it raised suspicion). While they were checking all of that, I decided to check the basic stuff (since that is useually what is wrong) like the sparkplugs and discovered that one of the plug caps had fallen off. Anyways, this is just another racing story and if anyone is curious, a stock MR2 turbo can beat a GSR with I/H/E and a few other bolt ons.

J/K Good races. The MR2 runs in the AWD class in Japanese drag-racing, because that thing can LAUNCH. That will give the MR2 a jump that an I/H/E GS-R can never make-up for. From a roll should be closer, but the MR2 should still win.

Too bad those MR. 2's are still kinda pricey... well at least the turbo ones..
