Hey peeps,
I just recently bought a 1984 monte carlo SS. it's been totaly rebuilt. the engine is an ebelbrock 350 w/ RPM performer intake and carb. without going into too much detail he said it was running 11:1 compression on forged pistons. he also said that he had it hooked up to a 125shoot of nitro. i was wondering if it could be possible to test what he told me with out ripping the block apart. any advice would be apreciatied! thanks, John |

no way to tell if it was recently rebuilt or the compression ratio without tearing it apart. you can check if the motor has good compression with a compression tester. all cylinders should be within 10% of each other
