how many miles does your Maxima have?

Mine has over 112k and still running strong. Just wondering because I'm curious as to how Maximas usually last, and how reliable Nissan is.

I have 137k on my 95 SE. Still runs smooth. The owner before me lubricated it with Mobil 1 Synthetic every three thousand, and I have kept to the same schedule as well.

I think the main factors that contribute to long engine life are lubrication, cooling, and timing. Lubrication is easy and worth every penny. A good cooling system just takes regular inspection (i.e. hoses, pump, radiator). And the engineers at nissan have taken care of timing by incorporating chains instead of belts, so you only have to replace them every 60-80k miles to be on the safe side.

My 02 Maxima has 7012 miles on it. I bought it used 2 months ago from the dealer with 3859 miles on it. It sat on various showroom floors for 14 months before somebody bought it. The dope kept it for 3 months and then traded it in for something else because "he didn't like it". One man's trash is my goldmine.
Sorry, just felt like ranting.

My 96 SE has 106K. Casual driven, runs great. I got the car used in 99 with 58K and it has been the least expensive car I have ever owned. No major failures.

Here is what I've had to replace:
One battery
Third set of tires
Second set of brakes
Second set of plugs
One tune-up
Air filter every 30K
Oil every 3K

Due for service:
Tune-up
Muffler
Radiator flush
Transmission flush

yeah my maxima has been pretty cheap to maintain. I just changed the gas filter yesterday (@ 112k miles). My parents didn't know you were supposed to change it at 60k miles. Also the check engine light popped up once, ran it through a computer and it said the oxygen sensor wasn't working. The weird thing was though, after 3 weeks the check engine light went away so I'm not worrying about that oxygen sensor anymore. Only thing I've done to the Maxima is getting a new battery, new michelin tires and a transmission flush.
