BLASPHEMY I SAY!

What the heck do you want a 5.0L for? I'd go with a 350 if I wanted a V8. Either that or the 4.3l V6.

I got a buddy right now selling a Brav-Phoon . It's a 94 Bravada upgraded with all of the Typhoon parts, and 2000 Camaro SS rims. I think it would be a pretty tight daily driver

which 5.0? Ford 5.0(302) or a Chevy 5.0(305)?

Putting in a Ford motor would be a pain... Chevy 350 would be a much easier install I'd say.

well, if you're going that far i'd suggest chevy 350... the 305 is... OK.

350 will give you better performance per dollar compared to anything else. And if you're gonna race it around you'll smoke alot more cars if you had the 350, rather than the weak 305.

'85 300zx... weighs twice as much but who cares. 300hp and 400 lbs of tourque stock is gonna move anything.

305 - bore and stroke is a terrible ratio, it's heads flow little to nothing.
350 - one of the best bore and stroke ratios, stock heads flow decently good.

Stock a 305 with a 4bbl Carb, intake, headers will make about 210hp. While a 350 stock with a 4bbl carb, intake, headers will make about 260hp.

Add a camshaft to the equation... and 350 just starts walking away from the 305.

It'll cost alot to make a 305 make as much power. The GM 5.0 is the bastard child of motors... it's no where as good as the Ford 5.0.
