Remove all trim screws
Pop off door panel - trim remover tools works well also a putty knife will work. Just pull gently door panels aint cheap.

This for a 91 civic/crx but yours is very similar

Take it to the dealer, it will be covered for free... mine was when the same bullshit happened. If your still bent on digging in there, you gotta pop off the case around the speaker, then three screws holding the speaker, then 3 screws under that. You'll have to unscrew your door opening handle casing and the little handle thing below it (what you use to close the door). Both of those only have one philips screw in them. You'll have to take off your window handle by popping off the metal clip (flathead screwdriver recommended) between it and the door. There are 4-5 plastic lock-in things holding the big shell to the door frame, just pull on it from the edges SLOWLY and you'll hear them pop out.

They will do it for free why is there a recall on it or something

Bullshit they will do it free if the car is not under factory warranty which a '99 isn't. They will charge 1.0hrs of labor & you may need a regulator & run channel.

sorry, forgot I bought an extended warranty... 1 hour of labor will only cost about $75 anyways, and screwing with it yourself could make things worse.

So there is no recall. What all did they have to fix and about how much you think it will cost me

There's no recall, but I've seen a lot of posts like this on other forums so I guess it's a problem. I think they replace and realign your window tracks I screwed with mine for months, fixing it for like a week at a time then it would go back to being off track, unable to close. Finally I took it in and they charged me nothing for labor and parts, but charged for the weatherstripping ($100) because it's a "cosmetic" part.. bs..

This is soo easy to do, just do it yourself. I replaced the regulator on my 96 the other week and it only took about 30 minutes. The toughest part WAS getting it in the track, but you can do it. Just play with it. It's not worth getting raped at the dealership over. Good luck!

Maybe my car was just broken more than his, but I fucked with every little nut and bolt holding the tracks in there and couldn't fix it. I'm not a moron and knew what I was doing, but I couldn't get it to stay in there for the life of me. Redrunner, mess with it and see where it gets you before taking it anywhere. If you fix it, cool.. if not, you're gonna have to fork over a little dough so it never comes off track again.

I would take it to Honda before Pep Boys any day, they cant even mount tires without bending wheels . I think its more than the window off track, probably needs reg. & run channel - about $225 @ dealer. The dealer will start with 1.0hr of labor to diagnose - then give estimate for repair, if its only "off the track" then only the 1.0 hr will be charged.
