Question Should I put a 454 in my '69 chevelle malibu?

Is it worth it to drop a 454 into my '69 Chevelle Malibu 4 dr??? or do u think its a wste of time and money?

And also, does any1 know how much money it would cost for installation and the actual block?

All help is appreciated!! Thank You!

Find a block in a junkyard or in a classified ad or something. Don't pay more than 200 bucks for one. You can do a total buildup for around 1000-1500 bucks if you don't do anything too wild. The sky's the limit from there however.

Re: Should I put a 454 in my '69 chevelle malibu?

I just picked up a whole 454 enging for 1500 and rebuilt it for another 1500 which included a transmission rebuild and a shift kit. The engine is now pushing around 500 h.p.
Do it!!!!
