Re: 92 Prelude F22a what is the HP????

F22a comes with 125hp and 145lbs/tq. It's a good motor but not many mod options. swap in the new lude motors, easy to do.

EZ

the most common engine swap for the prelude would be the h22a or the f20b the difference is, the h22a is the jdm prelude motor which has 220 hp and 150 lbs/tq. now the f20b is the euro type r accord motor which has the same horsepower but 10 more tq. they are both the same price, $2500-$3000 depending on where you get it.you can do every kind of mod to these motors from turbo, nos and all motor depending on how much you want to spend and how fast you want to go is up to you. you can spend like $5000 on your motor and have a 12 sec. car depending on setup you could be faster. i hope this helps and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

I think the USDM H22 prelude motor is 195 HP, it might be a little over 200HP. I don't have the numbers near me. Thats a USDM option for you should you not want the JDM or F20B. I will be more specific if this trend is going once I get home in a day or 2. I am currently out of the state, so sorry I can't be of more immediate help.

Hey ECKOMAN..what do you drive? I'm new to this site and so you're like the first person from Oregon also that I have seen. Anyway the HP is off the top of my head. Why SHOULDN'T you want the JDM or f20b?? They have more HP and theyre basically all the same price.

Thanks

more specs and stuff would be great, is there anyway to get surpluss engines straight out of Japan etc. cheaper than a marked up one on the internet. I have a friend that owns a off road/customs shop....could he order one cheaper????? and how much possibly. If you could tell me what else it takes to swap, it would be great,,,, like how much to have it installed etc. thanks

the top of your head is wrong. h22 = 200 hp f20b = 200 hp less torque, its only a 2 liter. usdm depending on year can be 190-200. f20b is from the accord sir. then there is the 220hp versions which are the accord euro r (really like 216), type r, and prelude type s and sir s spec. those are all going to be like 2k more then the other ones. and the f20b is more expensive then your average h22 even though its no better neccesarily, just more rare

Re: Thanks

H22a- 200hp/ 161trq, 2157cc (2.2L) DOHC VTEC, 10.6 compression ratio. Thats the specs on the motor that I'm gonna be getting once I save another 1000. My friend has one in his hatch and he runs 14.57 1/4. Pretty fast on jus the motor swap. My friends shop is getting me the motor, ecu, hydro transmission, clutch, and axles for 2300. He said install would be another 800. so it looks like its costin me 3100. If that helps with costs at all.
