Winter Driving?

Hi everyone... new here, didn't know where else to turn...

I have been considering a used 2000 Echo, and have found very favourable reviews of the car... HOWEVER... I can't seem to find any information on this car and how it's handling in SNOW. Is there anyone here who OWNS an Echo (early model, not hatchback) who has done any extensive driving in winter and can tell me about the benefits/drawbacks of this car in these conditions?

Any help appreciated.

i.

Up in IL I was at a gas station getting some gas. It was sleeting/snow like crazy...about 3 inches on the ground and this Echo is driving to the pumps and doesn't make it....it just sat there front wheels spinning like a radio controlled toy car stuck in sand. It was quite funny..
But I was stuck also in my FWD 3000GT SL.

I have heard they do pretty good in snow though....maybe someone that acutally owns one could tell you more info
