scratches in paint
I have scratches in my paint, they don't look deep at all, but they are deep enough to hear and slightly feel by rubbing with fingernail accross scratch. I have tried several products that say they work, even McGuires Scratch-X. I have tried Turtle wax's polishing creme, and their Color Match with Chipstick. The color is that really really dark green, and have been given a bottle of the exact paint from a Nissan Body Shop......Anyone know what will work? Thank you

i really don't know if there is a 'magic' solution
unless it's a minor scrath, there's really not much you can do, except polish the clear coat until the 'scratch' is gone, but then, you're sacrificing protection since you're actually removing the clear coat around the area of the scratch also.
most of the products seem to only minimize or remove super fine scratch that are visible only. i don't now much about the color'ed sticks, but it sounds temporary IF the paint matches and needs re-applications... and STAY AWAY from the dang touch up paints.... they rarely, if ever, seem to work. ![]() kafene. |
