Carrera is rear wheel drive. Carrera 4 is four wheel drive. The Carrera 4 has a slightly strengthened chassis. Everything else is identical.

no c4 and c4s are different. c4s has more power and torque. same with the carrera and carrera s models.

The C4S is the turbo style, widebody Carrera. It lacks the verticle vents on the wings, the hydraulic split rear wing, and of course, the turbo's. It shares the wheels and body kit however, and retains the standard Carrera spioler. U can tell a Carrera 4S, as it has a red reflective strip that runs along the bottom of the engine cover, linking the break lights.

Re: Carrera and Carrera4

i have a 1995 993 c4 and except for the drivetrain it is so identical that when i first got it i thought maybe i got a c2 by mistake. even the nameplate on the back just says carerra not carerra 4. in fact the instruction book makes no mention of 4 wheel drive, except i got a supplemental book for the c4.
