You want the cluster to light up red - as opposed to amber? Hmmm... There's a panel on top of the cluster that you can remove to access a plastic amber lense. Just take that out & your gauges would shine a lot brighter. I've heard of people using colored overhead projector sheets (probably found at Office Depot, Office Max, etc..) to change the color of their stereo faces. I'm sure you could find some in red to replace the amber lense.
I changed all of my idiot lights (both turn signals, check engine, oil, e-brake & high beams) to red & I love it. Just one of those things that most people wouldn't notice...

the tach is simple....jus take the red black wire n ground it somewhere...the white wire is to turn the light on so wire that to a switch or to the head lights so when u turn them on it goes on....the red wire is the power wire jus wire it a power source in the fuse box{i used a add a circuit, simple way to do it n adds a fuse in with it to keep the guage safe-it jus plugs in the fuse box}the green goes to the tach lead...on hondas its the blue wire that runs to the + side of the coil on the distributer...jus splice in somewhere....
