I have a 99 4.6L V8 F-150, and I've been batting ideas back and forth on what to do to the exhaust. I would like some imput, so here goes.
I was thinking of putting an exhaust cut-out just behind the cat with either the standard control cable or an electronic door ran into the cab. From there I'd run either a Gibson dual exhaust system or just make up a system as I go. Since Gibson seems to do the only dual exhaust system for trucks that I can find (Summit and JEG's), should I go with a complete system or are parts from different companies ok? I'd like to know before I start dropping the cash. Also, should I consider getting a new cat while I'm at it? What are some good exhaust companies out there? Thanks

Try Flowmaster Mufflers exhaust systems - they have been around longer and the products are made here in the USA.

my friend has a very nice sounding truck...
he just put a single 2.5 inch pipe from teh cat to the rear, then made a y near the rear end and split it to two tips... no mufflers, just pipe... its real loud, but sounds soooo nice Travis PS.. he has a 1998 4.6l 4X4
