Finally finished the Porsche 928

Well, this is the Fujimi Porsche 928 GT kit, I absolutely disliked the kit itself. No optional parts for this kit.
At any rate I pianted it Testors Champagne Gold (3 coats) and covered it with 3 coats of Testors Pearl Clear coat.
I also had to drill the chassis for the front wheels to get the desired lowered effect I needed. If not it would have looked very up in the weeds.
The wheels are Fujimi 18" RUF's. They really look great on this car (IMO).
Interior is bland so I didn't bother with a shot of it. Black leather is all I simulated.
It is one of my most favorite Porsche's.
Before we get off on the panel lines, I just want to confirm that I am still not able to reproduce those fab. results. I need more practice. Eventually I will do it.
Just a couple more looks at a 1:1 to finish off anything I forgot and it is completed.
Here are the pics:

but only the rear should be lowered IMO.
The front looks good for me.

Other than that very good job

Well, the front is as low as it can go without actually hitting the inner fenderwells. The rear is just about the same.
I feel it has the correct stance in which I was looking for.
Thanks for the comments guys. I do appreciate it.

Thanks again guys. I picked this color as it was different. Do any of you remember Risky Buisness with Tom Cruise? It's pretty close o that color too.
Again, thank you

looks nice in that colour! black trim round the windows is a little uneven though, might be worth trying to neaten them up a bit. but if you do panel lines around them it would probably neaten them up a bit. Just use regular black watercolour paint to do the panel lines- you can easy wash it off if you go wrong with a damp tissue- even when its dry! so no worries about messing up!

Always been one of my favorite GTs! Very clean looking build The ride height works for me - looks very close to a realistic stance for a 928. The wheels look great too!

Dang, with the server being too busy I can hardly get on here! Thanks for the positive remarks everyone.
Egon--hey bro, thanks for the water color tip. When I get more comfortable with it I will do it. As for the window edges, you are right on, they are a lillte edgy. Semi-Gloss paint and a fine brush to paint them. I tried masking with bad results so I had tried the freehand job and was a little better but the body lines are so shallow I was trying to keep it off the paint body. Guess I am a little shakey! LOL
Thanks again
Chris

those panel lines- just go for it! you cant mess up your painjob, just blob the paint on in the general area of the panel lines and clean it up with a cotton bud when its dry- youve got to learn somewhere!
Its the technique i used for my cars (see "pair of classic group C racers" thread) it worked really well on the 956.
