my stock evo VI and a question about clear parts
After reading through the forums and FAQs, this is the evo I came out with. It is still cruel compare to the other models that all of you did, with little more practice and experience i think i will get better as time goes one.
one question though i keep on getting scratches or the clear parts is there a way to make it smooth and shinney? |

You can use polishing cloths on clear plastic as you can on painted plastic. It will remove some scratches.
You can also used a polishing compount to remove fine scratcehs and get the glass to shine. BTW NICE CAR!! Very very clean build! |

Yes there is a way to make the scratches smooth and shiny. I recently like two days ago finished my 390 Nissan and I had little fine scratches in the clear plastic from it sliding around in the box. I took some tooth paste and rub it in careful not to crack or break the glass (clear plastic) until the scratches were gone then I put a small dot of tamiya wax on it to polish is up. It came out great. I would like to show you but the uploading of pictures for AF is down right now. side note Please donate
to AF. P.S. Great model, supper nice panel lines.

Great car, great model, 'tho' bigger wheels in the same style wouldn't have gone amiss even though you were going for the stock look.

Many thanx to the comments
I use this one as a testing ground for some of the stuff I read off the automotive forums. Man, I never know to get that smooth finish I have to use 1/2 can of Tamiya primer and 1 whole can of the color.. Anyway...I got some decal paper so i printed out some to see how they work. I guess i didn't use enough krylon crystal clear to water proof it it still have a little blur on some of the lettering. ie OZ Racing I also follow the guide in the forum on building a tail pipe which work out better then i thought. Finishing, Pannel Line are all followed to the T in the FAQ Section Many thanx to those who contributed. As far as lowering, I thought about it but when I test fit the wheel it seem like the tires is very close to the wheel well, So i didn't do it this time. But I am eager to try that out on the next model which is a Lancer Evo VII from Fujimi I use this one to test a lot of technique learned here Thank again for all the comments
