want different color gauge lights?

so at first i decided to change the bulbs behind the cluster to get a red look behind my gauges.... well most of the bulbs only came in amber or clear so i colored them red with sharpie and the look they gave me was pinkish, and it sucked. so i decided to try a different route. i bought some stuff called clearphane at my local hobby lobby. it is in the gift wrap section. there are several different colors so if any of you are thinking about doing this you can find the color you want...it was only 2.99 for a 25 foot roll (more than plenty). i took out the cluster and everything covering the gauges and then cut out traces of the gauges onto the clearphane. this takes very careful work because the clearphane is very easy to tear..the middle gauge had to be done 3 times until done without error. Then i took out the screws on the guages, put the clearphane on and then screws back on..cut out holes for the plastic that goes on top of the gauges..and assembled it back together. now my cluster looks very nice at night. It gives me a nice even red look all around and none of that pink garbage. i thought the hour and a half of work put into it was well worth it. see the picture and tell me what you think.

Looks really good man. That clearphane stuff really works wonders. I did mine amber and they came out great, though all I had to do was swap out the bulbs.
