lowering 96 gt

i was just wondering if anybody has lowered their grand am. i am seriously thinking about doing it to my car. that huge wheel gap just kills me. its a cool car and i really enjoy it, but that gap makes me sick. does anybody know of any good kits? or could i get away with just putting eibach springs on it?

i want it to look kinda like this....
