Auto shut down relay
I keep getting code 42. I changed the camshaft sensor but no luck. Van wants to start, but stops after 1 or 2 seconds.

Re: Auto shut down relay
ok, you have a grounded (shorted) circut somewhere in your main harness (under hood most likely) look over this thread, http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=136672

My van cranks but dies within 1 or 2 seconds. Does anyone have the solution to this problem? It has gas, spark plug wires are good. Please reply I need to fix this problem so I can go to work.

Re: Auto shut down relay
Hey Tracker, is your sensor near your belts for it happened to me and the wires were clipped abit. Wayne from Canada, always willing to learn. Good with the older vehicles, got lost with the newer. Kinda like my teeth, and hair Ah! just joking. Post it if you fix it.
Good luck |

Re: Auto shut down relay
Astin, take your gas cap off, get some one to turn your ignition on. You should hear your fuel pump humming. Note, even if it is you should change your fuel filter first if you have over 40,000 miles on it, and if that does not work get your fuel system pressure tested. You never said what year your vehicle is. Anyway it could also be the fuel pump regulator , off hand. Good luck and post your success?
