97' A4 ignition question???

Hello everyone!!! Just bought this car and drives wonderfully, but, second day the ignition switch would not turn back to the normal position. This caused the starter to stay on and the A/c not to come on unless I turned the key back the correct position. Also, the key is hard to put in and to turn off is more difficult than the first day. Does anyone have some advice, thanks very much??? Marcus

I think I may have the answer to your problem. There was a recall by Audi to change the ignition switch on some A4 models. Check with a dealer to see if you can still have your changed for free. Tell them that you never received your recall notice.
