Replaced Car Mirror LED's, PICS INSIDE

What do ya guys think? Had to replace 4 orange 5mm LED's in each miror with blue ones. Was kinda tricky, but got it working, and man do the people stare. Don't know if that's good or bad, but it looks sick at night. Very illegal, but as long as I'm careful about who I turn my blinker on around I should be cool, and if not my ex girlfriend's mom is a 911 dispatcher and can sign any fix-it ticket off for me.

Damn looks nice. But i dont understand how it is illegal, dont some like lexus and mercedes have them?

i will get some updated pics up next week when i get my new wheels and bodykit.

i just ordered some 17" silver motegi mr7's, so i am upgrading from stock tires. will look much better.

as far as the kit, I am getting buddyclub 2 front and sides, and an original buddyclub 1 rear. expect pics up next weekend.

hey "steve" my question is, not about the the LED..but how u managed to hook up the actual lights for the sides mirrors, i cant seem to figure it out...any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!

hey. not sure what you're asking. the led is the light. i just run the wires through the door, drilled a hole in the doorjam, not the door side, the car side, ran the wires into that hole and spliced them into the proper wires, you can do either blinker or parking wires or both. i suggest you get a repair manual to see what color the wires are. you can get one for about $15 at kragen or autozone or pepboys.

well, my problem, is after i get the wires to the parking lights (on my civic, the parking lights and the turn signals are the same lights) i then try to splice the mirror wires into the parking lights, the problem is, there are 2 wires for the mirrors and 3 for the parking lights, i assumed u would have to ground one of the lights coming from the mirror..but was i mistaken? am i supposed try for the right combination between the 2 from the mirror and the 3 for the parking light?.. i assume u dont have a 99 civic..but how did u do the actual light wiring?...i have the hayne's manual..but to me, it didnt seem like much of a help????

i think you're a little confused. if you look at the wiring diagrams in the back of the book, you'll notice there is only one wire for parking lights, and one for the blinker. that's all. there aren't 3, only 2. i myself only hooked my mirrors up to my blinker, i didnt want them on all the time, especially since they're blue (illegal). i have a 96 which should be the same colors. look again at the book and try it out. if you still can't figure it out i'll get out my book and tell you. cya.

well, i just spend some time trying to figure out the diagram...and to no avail...i dont know what color i should hook it to...i would like the lights to be on whenever the parking lights are on, and at the same time, blink with the turn signal..if thats not possible, i would prefer to have them always on...since they are amber and therefore legal...am i supposed to ground one of the 2 wires from the mirror and the other one goes to the color that u would recommend for the parking light?cuz if thats tru..the wires coming from the mirror are not the typical black for ground and red for power? i guess i basically want to know is what u hooked up to what in order to get the LED to be on...preferable any time the parking light is on...thanx in advance

i will look at my manual sometime today when i can get it out of my car and tell you what mine says. my mirrors have 3 wires, one for parking, one for blinker, and one ground. they are blue, white, and black.
