SOHC Vtec delso vs Me

Hey I am going to race this Delso vtec SOHC next friday. it has CAI/exhuast I think my just be Muffler I did not look. and white 17in Racing Rims

I am thinkin he is going to kick my ass really bad. I am sure of it but what it the HP on this delso if it was stock it is also a 5sd

del sols stock are not too fast a DOHC is 160 hp stock.

I think its the D16Z6, 125HP, have you ever beat any EX's with similar setups? if so then maybe, but the sol should be lighter than a full civic so if it was a close race this guy mgiht have you.

I raced a 97 Ex it was lower and had CAI so the guy said and it was closes race I have every had I won by cm so I Know the Delso is going to kick my ass just wanted to know what hp was and all that

actually a 94 EX coupe only weighs 40 lbs more, so if the guy in the ex was a good driver and this guy sucks at driving you got him. nail the launch and you got a good chance.

if he keeps those 17's on then i think you might edge it out, and is it auto or stick? if its auto you deff got the win

like 94tegrs said, if the del sol has a bad shifter, nail the launch and do some good shifting and it will be a good race.

No I dont think I can win cuz it has 2 hp less then Ex but weights about 100 pounds less then EX plus he has Intake not true cold air intake
Racing Rims so the do not weight alot but they are 17s with low profile tires. I think he may have exhaust and I know it is lowered.And its a Stick and I know the guy is he a good driver. Only adv I have is he has not drove his car in a week cuz his breaks and he is wait on them to come in mail or some shit like that

well, it is 2 HP less than the newer EX, the D16Z6 has 125HP, whihc is what is in the 92-95 EX/SI and the del sol SI and the newer EX had the D16Y8 w/ 127 HP.(someone correct me if im wrong). and as far as autotrader goes, dry weight is only 40 pounds less for the sol SI. and who makes his rims, cuz alot of names have racing in them. (racing hart, american racing, etc. and probably alot have the word race in the model name as well) but still probably heavier than stocks.

honestly, nobody on here is gonna be able to tell u for sure wuts going to happen, so u've gotta get out there an jus go for it.

he SHOULD beat u, but if he bog's his launch, u nail urs etc...then u've got a chance. or IF he misses a gear, or IF he isn't as good of a driver as u think...u see where im goingw ith this? too many variables between two cars that are basically even.

ur not running for big money or anything, find a safe street, don't kill urself and run him.

The "Delso" will win if you both have equal abilities, but either way I'd get more excitement watching hotwheels roll down a slide in a park.

why you always got to TRY to put me down nothing you say really gets me down. But it should get you down that if I had a stock SI you would on beat me by .5 sec maybe with you 15- 16s type R

Does it feel bad to know you ran faster in you DX then you do with a type R

Yes I understand what you are sayin I really just want to know the stock HP on it and about where the Hp on it is now
