Just got my 2000 Si

Woohoo, I just bought my 2000 Si today. I'm pretty excited, I went 6 weeks without a car after I sold my eclipse so I finally have wheels. I'll be hanging around the Civic forums a bunch now. I am kind of a Honda noob, I know the basics so don't flame too hard when I make an incorrect statement.....I'm just trying to learn!

It was a 95 GS 5spd, I had AEM cai, GReddy SS Header, GReddy Evo exhaust. It was getting close to 100k miles and I wanted something newer. Always been a Honda Fan so I went with the Si because I couldn't find a 5g Lude in my area or anywhere near.

I'm kinda torn.....I wanna mod the hell out of it and make it a nice quick car, but then again I don't really want to spend a TON of money. In all honesty I'd like to have it Vortech SC'd in a year, but I think the basic bolt-ons are more realistic. I/H/E/IM maybe some pulleys, cam gears, cams, throttle body. So we'll see which route I take, I'm pretty content with the basic stock car right now, it's already quicker....well feels quicker than my lightly modified Eclipse was and I loved that car, so I'm pretty happy to have this vehice, plus I got a STEAL on it........2000 Civic Si w/38k miles for $10,000

your B16 intake manifolf flows pretty well, as it is. IMO, youd be wasting money to buy a different one

Did u get the cool blue color? I'm trying to save up money so i can get a 2000 si too. i have went to a few dealers just to go test drive it but they are selling so fast, and in the area where i live they are selling them for full price like 17,900. That was the price brand new! They are selling better than the new SIs. Someday i will get one...not at a dealer of course....hopefully i can get a good deal in the auto trader or somethin.

There's $3k for prolly 20hp.. not worth it imo especially when you could get a turbo kit for that much running prolly 6psi for 60+hp and 60-70+ tq. Those numbers a off a little, but you get the point.
