You probably have a leaking injector issue and poor oil control seals which allows residual gasoline to get into your oil supply.
You need to repair or replace your injectors, but you've got an overhaul coming pretty soon. |

Thats normal. That is why it is important to change the oil a 3K miles. After time the oil gets some gas in it. My TII does it too.
Change your oil and then make sure you change it often. My car is turbo so I change my oil every 2K miles. When I run synthetic I change every 4K miles.

That's totally normal.
Like Jim said, just keep that shit changed and you're good to go. The reason is, rotary engines pump small amounts of oil into the combustion cycle to keep the internals lubricated (like cylinder walls in piston engines). Which is why you will burn about a quart of oil every other tank of gas. Do a search on Pre-mixing your gasoline with 2-cycle motor oil, this will help your engine stay healthy and lubed up. |

Re: gas smell in motor oil please help
As far as I know in the rotary community, the major engine (re)builders have never found a leaky injector. As far as gas in the oil, it's normal for ANY engine. It's called blow by. Of course it can be more severe depending on the condition of the seals/rings in a motor.

Re: gas smell in motor oil please help
hey Jim, dont forget to say you're premixing when you say you use syntetic oil, otherwise other ppl might think its a good idea to do so with the omp still in function
