Gray Davis give free Drivers liscence to illegal immagrants

Governer Gray Davis signed on 9-5-03 that illegal immagrants can now recieve a California drivers Liscence. I think that is total Bulls**t! I don't want a bunch of illegal immagrants ruining the state I have lived in for my whole life. Does anybody out there hat illegal immagrants? me> < Gray Davis

I am a legal immigrant and had to jump through burning hoops to get my green card, I have a lot of resent for the illegal immigrants, they make it difficult for those of us that went by the book.

I thought we were trying to reduce the amount of illegal immigrants in California, not reward them for coming into this country illegally. Any web sites that give more details?

I have no problem and have a lot of respect for people who went by the book, so I thank you for taking the time to do that. Gray Davis is an asshole. I think its total bullshit and the new governor will set up something to overturn this ruling. This is suppose to help him get votes.....yea right. It just proves he's as stupid as everyone says he is.

the new governor (whoever that ends up being) will only be able to change this now signed bill through ballot referendum, where it's put to a direct vote of the people whether or not this bill should stand. So it'll be awhile, as we'll have to wait for the next scheduled election ballot. Meanwhile it creates the largest potential for voter fraud in recent history, along with making it easier to travel throughout the country while being here illegally.

some one needs to kill gray davis, he has screwed up the state so bad, theres no way im gona pay 3x the aumont it would be to get my car registaerd, and my j/c has gone from $11 a unit to 18, i hate to see what its like to go to a state college. the new gov, should kick out all the illlegals and gray davis and send them all back to mexico or where ever they came from, or at least send gray davis somewhere where they are testing nukes and light his @$$ up with a fat nuke.

As for all the buy the bookers, they can stay here of course cuz there cool, they should get a chanse to hit davis in the face with a bat if they want to just cuz he makes things so hard for everyone and than they can piss on him,

They BROKE THE LAW to get here they shouldn't reap ANY of the benefits of a united states citizen, look at the term again ILLEGAL immigrant I have no problem with a legal immigrant but when these people come here and disregard our laws it makes me angry. Since Gray Davis has been recalled,andArnie is now the main man in California,do we really need to keep dredging this subject up?It seems to me that this topic is just a magnet for ignorance.As a first- generation New Zealander,I find the attitude of some people towards immigrants thoroughly offensive.Illegal immigrants get to work because there are plenty of employers who are too cheap to pay a fair wage.The jobs would never exist if people had to pay American labour rates for them.If the illegals didn't do the work,it wouldn't get done.Nobody is 'stealing' jobs from American citizens,the option to work for peanuts in a shit job is there for anyone who is hungry enough.

I know this personally because my dad is being affected by this he's a subcontractor and not many people like to do what he does it's manual labor and it's DAMN hardwork but he's been losing business becasue illegal immigrants come in and work for close to nothing and i know of a few other people who are in the same position there are ALWAYS people to fill even shit jobs, I used to work as a framer but unless I wanted to work for $6 i couldn't do that anymore, if any of u on here are teenagers and u can't get jobs u can attribute that to the fact that illegals are taking those jobs it used to be that teenagers would take on summer jobs but its much harder to get thoase jobs now because of the cheap immigrant labor AMericans are still willing to work those jobs but they want fair wages, do u think those immigrants would work those jobs if they were here legally? no they wouldn't but they can't complain because they're here illegally and there's a chance they could be deported and they also don't say anything because what they have here is still better than what they had in their home countries what ur saying is that they want to do jobs no one else does I can tell u for a fact that if they werent here those jobs would still get done the only difference would be that AMERICANS would be doing them and getting paid a FAIR wage. The fact that these immigrants are being exploited is wrong, the fact that they are taking away american jobs is wrong, and the fact that they BROKE THE LAW to get here is wrong too...i'm sorry if this is long but I have been affected by this personally.

If you won't work for 6 bucks an hour,and you won't let other people do it either,do you really think that people are going to pay extra for the priviledge of having their work done by citizens?Of course not.With every project,it's the bottom dollar that gets the job,and if the price is to high,then either the job doesn't get done or you do it yourself.Take the lawns.If Jose wants $20 to do the job that Cletus is doing for $50,who's going to cut your grass?I'm willing to bet that You'll either give it to Jose,or have Cletus do it less often,or fire up the mower and do it yourself.

Immigrants will work for shit wages because there is always a demand for cash-in-hand labour.The people who despise them are too cheap to pay union rates and taxes to the people they claim should have the jobs.And of course,there's always the 'superiority' factor.I can't imagine anyone hiring a maid would do so if they were hiring someone who was expecting to be treated as an equal.

My 2 cents, even though it's an old topic.
I'd like to see illegal immigrants get more rights, such as more concern from their employers about their safety - however a driver's liscense is not a right, it is a privilege, and if they want that privilege they're going to have to become a citizen. And if it's impossible for them to become a citizen, then they're up a creek - life's not fair.
