Need help with spray paint!

Well it's winter time and there's no way I can spray my models outside in the freezing cold. Any suggestions on how I can set up some kind of area for spray painting my models inside. I live in an apartment, so there's not alot of room. And is it true that painting should never be done in a humid area? I'm working with Tamiya spray cans, please help!

Get the room warmed up were you want to paint and warm the spray can up in warm water.
Put some big old sheets on the floor for the overspray.
After spraying, put the model in the hot water cupboared to dry

And open a window if you can. Or, if your bathroom has a fan, you might try that... and just hold your breath... Be careful.

It will allow the paint to dry in a warm area which helps the paint get a shine as well. In the cold is not the best for paint to dry.

Actually, I don't understand what is a "hot water cupboared"
Is it like a box with a cup of hot water inside?????

It is the cylinder somewhere in your house that stores all your hot water that you use.

He means the closet with the hot water heater. If you're in an apartment, it may be somewhere wierd. Mine's out on my porch. I could use the closet for the a/c & heater, but it's too dusty.

Just find a place to stash it with as little dust as possible.

Warren had used the microwave before.

What I meant about the bathroom is that you need to spray somewhere that's ventilated. Otherwise you will get brain damage and die, and you won't finish your model. But really, spray paint fumes are super-bad for you.

Do you have any vent fans in your apt?

I just spray outside but I'm very quick about it and take the part inside as soon as I'm done spraying. I don't know if it makes that much difference.

Yes I do have a fan/vent thingy in my bathroom, also I wear a mask when i spray paint

there goes my IQ level...hehehe

Okay, cool. Then cover everything with newspaper, and get a cardboard box. I use a box that copier paper comes in... Works good and has a separate lid.

I have the same problem too. I'm living in apartment and do paint job in the staircase. But these Tamiya sprayers too much stinky and my neighbor going to complaint to apartment manager
Using of airbrush doesn't produce such odor 'cause it's different kind of paint. But i'm not handy with it and can't get good results with airbrush :-(
