max torque on ranger frame

just wondering, whats the max amount of torque the unmodified* ranger (97/00/01) can handle? i am seriously thinking about a 302 engine swap when i get my truck (i know what u thinking- , but i do )

just wondering.

I think the only thing you have to do is make a few mods under the hood so the 302 would fit...and change the front suspention to hold all that extra weight.....

This would mostly depend on what kind of shape your chasis is in, and how well you've treated it, but I would GUESS about 350 or so ft lbs, but that's a guess... check out

they have stuff about v8 swaps-they could prob be more accurate
-dont forget to check your rear end, if you have a 7.5" rear end, you should change it, but someting klike an 8.8" is more than sufficient
