Talking Whats wrong with this picture?

First off, sorry but I have no pictures to show you this... incredible thing I saw.

Ok, on with the story...

So, I'm coming home from work and I turn down my street and notice this white Honda Civic HB parked about 4 houses down from me on the other side of the street facing me.

It was done in the now popular 'riced' theme of steelies up front and nice wheels out back. This particular fellow had chosen white 10-spoke wheels to match his paint. Sitting in my truck I find myself staring at this marvelous machine that is the Civic... Wondering... Why oh why does something look oddly wrong with it?

"He's got steel wheels, must be a race car... only race cars have steel wheels." I think to myself, "But if he's race car, why does it appear that the rear tires look wider?"..."Good question" I replied to myself.

So after talking to that little voice in my head, we decided that it was best to walk over for a closer look to make sure this racer hadn't done what we thought he'd done.

I walk the distance and upon arriving, I squat down next to the car and survey his craftsmen ship on building his ultimate street car. Upfront as I expected was the stock steel wheel minus the hubcap. Wrapping this factory racing wheel was a Pepboy's Special Futura 185/40/15 tire.

''Hmmm'' I thought... So turned my gaze to the rear wheels. A nice set of 10-spoke aftermarket wheels that were probably lighter than his factory racing steel wheel. "I shouldn't question his judgment... He's a professional racer... He knows what he's doing." I mutter to myself. But when I looked closer there I found it, a Nitto 555 215/40/15 tire stretched over his aftermarket rims.

As my brain slowly took in this information, "Wait..." I thought, "He's FWD... why does he need a bigger tire out back? He's... FWD... a professional... racer."

That's when it dawned on me... "This guy is the biggest fucking idiot I've ever seen!" And I proceeded to sit down in my street as I laughed my ass off for a good 5 minutes.

Funniest thing I've seen in... I dunno FOREVER!

Well, I've never stopped and actually read the tire sizes. Most of the time I see the car go by with a similar setup and you can't really tell from the distance or speed (or Lack-there-of) they're traveling.

So for me, this was a first...

maybe he's poor so cannot afford to replace the Nitto's on the front 10 spokes. So then he had to put his steelies back on. He's probably learned that doing burnouts with Nitto's is a very expensive affair.

That's no excuse... most people that I know would wait till they had the extra $200 for the other tires... This guy was just a dip.
